Buenas tardes amigas/os! espero que esten comenzando este fin de semana con toda la buena onda y alegría posible. Les cuento que estuve un poco ausente del blog simplemente porque estuve un poco ocupada. La semana pasada fue mi cumple y mi querido esposo tuvo la brillante idea de llevar a toda la familia (incluyendo a mis hijitas de 4 patas!) a la playa por 4 días. Debo contarles que la pasamos buenisimo es la primera vez que visito Carolina del Norte - Outer Banksy es muy lindo! Fue relajante y los días fueron perfectos, llenos de sol y calorcito! Eso si el agua estaba congelada!!! Pero igual hicimos tripa corazón y nos metimos. Mis perritas vieron el mar por primera vez y aunque sean perritas ellas tambien tienen su "Bucket List" y una de las cosas en la lista de ellas era ver el mar! La verdad que la pasamos bárbaro. Mis suegros lo re difrutaron también.

Confesión: Amo la vida chicas, la familia que me rodea los amigos que Dios me puso en el camino, las cosas cotidianas, la verdad que a pesar de que todo no sea perfecto amo a la vida.
Ayer me agarro la locura y me puse a hacer pulseritas para mi, para mi energia. La verdad que empeze con yoga a full eso si también bailo, porque te hace bien para la salud!
El tejido esta lento, lo que pasa es que hace mucho calor! Tengo ganas de estar en la pile tomando sol disfrutando del verano que es cortito. Eso si estoy tratando de ponerme al día con la lectura, comencé a leer un libro que se llama "Todas las luces que no podemos ver" el autor es Anthony Doerr, y la verdad que por ahora va bien lindo.

Bueno chicas las dejo me voy a disfrutar el finde! Un abrazote de oso!

Good afternoon friends! I hope you are starting your weekend with good energy and happiness! I was a long week but Friday is here! The reason why I haven't blog this past week was because I was busy. Last week it was my birthday and my dear husband had the brilliant idea of taking the whole family (including my 4 legs girls) to the beach for 4 days! I have to tell you that we had a wonderful time it was the first time that I visited NC- OuterBanks and I love it. The weather was perfect, sunny, hot but the water was very cold, but we didn't care we took deep breath and we jumped in! lol it was a lot of fun. My doggies saw the ocean for the first time and they loved it! it was part of their bucket list! My in- laws were great and they had a great time too.

Confession:

I love life girls! my familia, all my friends that God put on my path, the everyday life, and even though not everything is perfect I love life.

I started Yoga every day! Oh gosh it feels good, I also put music and dance kinda workout, it makes me laugh and I work all my muscles! Yesterday, I made a lot of bracelets for myself I have a lot of gemstones that I bought I while back, each gemstone has a meaning and they help your energy. Call me crazy if you want, it's ok, lol

Knitting has been slow, I have to admit that it's been so hot and I don't feel like touching yarn too much, so I knit on and off. I'm trying to catch up on reading now. Oh I started reading " All the things we cannot see" by Anthony Doerr, and so far I like it a lot.

Love this pattern!

Knitting

This colors are gone!

From the moment I saw this pattern I felt in love with it! The designer had a great idea when designing this pattern; It’s so easy yet very interesting and addictive!

I can’t wait to start! The only problem is that I haven’t decided on what yarn to use yet. I was thinking on the baby alpaca that my husband bought for me a while back, but for some reason I have the feeling that it’s not going to be enough. I guess I will have to go to the yarn shop today to see what I can find. I need about 600 yards of fingering.

OK, so I went to the yarn shop in Old Town Manassas and I found the perfect yarn at a bargain price!

I had the necessity to start this project right away and I did. I started knitting with like five different colors plus the main color. At the beginning at liked the way the colors where coming together until I didn’t like them anymore and I didn’t know why. So I asked my husband, who is an expert in colors, and he pointed out that the color that through everything out was the light blue because it was the only cold color out of all the colors I was working with. After covering the blue everything look different.

So I decided to ripped off almost all of my knitting and start all over again, only with two o three colors, not sure yet! You see for me it’s very important to pick the right colors, I have to love the colors other ways I cannot work with them. (I know, weird).

I am very satisfied with the colors now! Hahaha I hope I don’t have to rip it anymore.

Life

I also wanted to share something cool… We are going on vacation! Yes, just for a few days, we are leaving tomorrow! This time we are going to Cancun, Mexico, well actually Playa del Carmen! We called this trip “Our little Honeymoon”. It’s our first time visiting the Caribbean Ocean, we can’t wait to get there! And I can’t wait to jump in that water!

Of course I won’t bring my knitting to a tropical place. I won’t be thinking about knitting, I will be thinking about how fortunate we are to be at such a beautiful place! Too much to do, a men to love, good food to eat, a beach to enjoy and places to see! hahahaha

I’ll post some pics when I get back.

Long time not see

Wauu Summer is almost over and my reappearance comes with it. I do have a lot to say though!
On July my husband and I went to Argentina, Buenos Aires to visit the family for three weeks! It was great, not only because I got to see everybody, but also because I got to spend my Birthday with them! It was so special and nice. Also remember that in July is winter time down there so I got to use all my new knitting.
I as you know by know, summer and knitting fight for me all the time, I cannot concentrate on my knitting, but I have to admit that this past month to date I cannot concentrate in anything, I cannot find motivation, maybe because the big change of seasons is coming, I don't know.
I want to share that I started to exercise and watching what I eat and I lost 2 pounds in three weeks! I am very proud of myself. It's important to remark that it being in shape requires a lot of discipline. So we'll see what would happened, my goal is to lose a little more and then keep it out of me.
For now, I just wanted to share with you, my reader, that I am fine, and that I am very sorry for being away for so long.

Argentina and me

My vacation in Argentina was fabulous. Weather was perfect around 70 to 75 degrees!

When we got to the airport the plane landed on the old building and my whole family was waiting for us at the new building. So we got the luggage and walked to where they were. I told my hubby to recorded the moment I was surprising my mother and he did!!!!!

This is what happened:

I walked towards her and poke her back and when she turns (thinking it was my father) she saw me and started to scream!!!!!!! And hugged me so hard that I lost my breath and we both cried!!!! When she hugged me I got the scent of her hair, the same delicious one as always, I felt safe, and that honest hug let me know I was home, that no matter how old I get, I am always going to be her little baby girl!! My dad was there too, he was so happy! We all were. It was a really happy time. They were thrilled that my hubby got that special moment on video!

I got to spend a lot of time with my family specially my mother and father. My husband wanted to stay at his grandmother’s, so we will sleep together just a few nights a week. I think this time he felt lonely sometimes when I was spending time with my parents. I felt bad, but I had so much to do with them, I needed to help them with a lot of things. Husband is my sunshine he is so comprehensive and nice to them and me.  I’m fortunate to have such a wonderful husband. Every time that we come back from Argentina our relationship gets a lot stronger and better.

Life has been good lately I can’t complaint. I have been not creating at all because I have a visitor. My sister in law came to visit from Argentina a week after I came from there. So you can imagine all the cleaning and preparations to welcome her. The fact that she came as a surprise for my mother in law (for mother’s day week) was even more work for myself. I had to clean and do all the rest secretly. So it wasn’t easy but it was worth it!

We are having a great time but this wonderful vacation is ending for her; She is going back home this Wednesday. My husband is so happy to have her sister at home they are spending a lot of time together which it’s great.

Well once we get into schedule again I have to start working, and honestly I have a lot to do. Summer is strong for sales specially jewelry, I have clients that wait to see what I make. It makes me feel real god.

I bought beautiful yarn in Argentina from this company called Mousa; oh my they sell the best Yarn in Buenos Aires, my hubby help me to pick up the colors. And then we went to a place that specializes in jewelry supplies and I got a lot! My husband was more excited than me, he helped me to pick up colors and one of kind rocks and he gave ideas for cool combinations, there is not doubt that he knows his colors (he is a Graphic Designer). He was so supporting he really believes in me and when necessary he will give honest opinions on my creations, and honestly it feels good!

So this is what has been going on in my world. As I always say I will post some pictures soon.
